Suzuki India has launched its all-new quarter-liter motorcycle, the
Gixxer 250 on 20th May 2019. The motorcycle although has borrowed some
of the design cues from its smaller sibling the motorcycle has been
given a very sporty design. The motorcycle now not only gets a fuel
injected, SOHC 249cc engine that pumps out 26.5ps of power at 9000 rpm
and 22.6 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm but it has got a lot of updates too.
The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Unlike the Gixxer 155, the
Gixxer 250 now gets split seats which are wider as well. The headlamp
and the tail lamp now are LED. The heat management will be taken care of
by the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS). The motorcycle gets the
clip-on handlebars which are high raised for a sporty yet comfortable
ergonomics.
Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at
both the wheels accompanied by dual channel ABS. So, stopping the bike
safely shouldn't be a problem. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is
161kg and has a ground clearance of 165mm which will be more than enough
to overcome a tall speed breaker or a deep pothole. The seat height is
800mm so, it will be comfortable for riders of all heights.
